Experience Georgia's history first-hand at this celebration of old time crafts and rural life, with over fifty live demonstrations of quilting, woodworking, spinning, weaving, soap making, and bee keeping, plus old time music and dancing. Among the new demonstrations will be folk music, woodturning, and antique toys and dolls. Rides in a mule drawn wagon will go on during the festival as well as tours of the Historic Ware-Lyndon House. The event is a popular school field trip and all ages are welcome. The festival is held at the Lyndon House Arts Center and the Athens Community Council on Aging. Both are located on historic Hoyt St. off North College Avenue in downtown Athens.
